The deal has been signed and now the Moncton Wildcats are preparing to move into the new Downtown Centre later this year.
Director of Operations Ryan Jenner says the team is preparing its spaces in the new centre including the dressing room, the office and the Wildcats store.
But for now, Jenner says the team is going to relish their final nine home games at the Coliseum.
“A lot of memories are here. Certainly a deep, hockey heritage with the old AHL teams and then the Wildcats. We are in our 22nd season here,” he notes.
Jenner adds the new Wildcats store inside the Downtown Centre will be across from the box office and it will actually have its own exterior entrance on Main Street.
