Two suspects are being sought by police following a violent home invasion and a shooting on Esgenoôpetitj (Burnt Church) First Nation.
Around 2 o’clock Monday morning, RCMP were called to a home on Bayview Drive in the community after a report of two men wearing masks.
Police say a 23-year-old man had been shot in the leg once they arrived.
The man was taken to hospital in Bathurst with serious injuries.
Mounties need help to identify the two masked suspects and if anyone has information they should contact the Neguac Detachment of the Northeast District RCMP at 506-766-3000.
