DMCI Urges Owners To Apply For Grant To Improve Storefronts

Downtown Moncton Centreville Inc. wants to help property owners improve the look of their businesses.

DMCI has launched its annual Façade Development Program with a total of $30,000 in grants available for store-front enhancements on a first-come, first-served basis.

Successful applicants can receive up to half of the total cost to a maximum of $3,000.

DMCI executive director Anne Poirier Basque says the program has invested $180,000 over the last six years which has generated more than $1 million in downtown facade improvements.

Some of those upgrades may include architectural and decorative details, landscaping, signage and lighting.

All owners in the downtown area who are considering exterior improvements this year are encouraged to apply.
