Will New Brunswick’s Climate Change Plan Pass The Sniff Test

Premier Brian Gallant is hoping his plan to divert a growing portion of the gas tax instead of imposing a carbon tax will suffice. The Executive Director of the New Brunswick Conservation Council, Lois Corbett has her doubts.

When New Brunswick’s plan was announced, federal Environment Minister Catherine McKenna questioned whether it would be enough of an incentive to actually cut carbon pollution and Corbett tends to agree with that characterisation.
