New Brunwick’s net debt is outpacing what’s owed by provinces of similar size, specifically Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan.
Provincial Auditor-General Kim MacPherson has calculated what each New Brunswicker owes if the net debt were to be eliminated and it comes to $18,300 a piece.
MacPherson says back in 2008, Nova Scotia’s net debt was higher than New Brunswick’s.
