Fisheries and Oceans Canada is reporting a seventh dead whale in Eastern Canadian waters.
A recent aerial patrol east of Prince Edward Island identified the mammal as a fin whale.
DFO says the cause of death is unknown and an investigation is underway.
This comes after a recent announcement of six dead North Atlantic Right Whales in the Gulf of St Lawrence.
