“There Needs To Be More Reduced Speed Signs Added Around The Causeway Area” – Riverview Town Councillor

A Riverview Town Councillor is sending a reminder to motorists to slow down while crossing the causeway.

Jeremy Thorne says drivers are forgetting that there is construction ongoing.

“I think motorists just really need to slow down on the causeway and realize there is an active construction project in the process,” says Thorne. “They need to keep an eye on their speedometers, the main concern here is the safety of the construction workers.”

He says there are a lot of construction signs, but he thinks there should be more “reduced speed signs” added so all motorists are aware that the speed limit has currently been reduced to 60 kilometres an hour.

Thorne says there are only two signs saying motorists should reduce speed, “there’s one on Findlay Boulevard in Riverview and there’s another one on the Moncton side, [and] at the very least there should be some additional signs added to both the Coverdale onramps leading to the Causeway.”
