Provincial Gov’t Reveals More Details On Legal Cannabis In N.B.

New Brunswickers will be able to legally grow cannabis starting on October 17 but you’ll have to keep it under lock and key — both inside and outside.

The province has released an update on its preparations for the federal legalization of pot and says that as of the legalization date you can grow up to four plants and if they’re in your home must they have to be in a separate, locked space. Outside, they have to be locked behind a five-foot-tall enclosure.

You can only buy pot legally at Cannabis NB stores and you can buy up to 30 grams of cannabis and can have up to 30 grams of dried cannabis or equivalent on you when outside your home.

There aren’t any restrictions on how much pot can you can keep at home, however.
