A Fredericton woman is the third major lottery winner from new Brunswick to come forward since May.
Nancy Hood purchased a ticket for the May 25 Lotto MAX draw, but didn’t check her ticket until three weeks later.
The validation came with a bit of a surprise though. She was $500, 000 richer, after matching the numbers in the Maxmillions draw.
She plans to use her winnings to pay for trips to Ireland and Scotland with her family…and she has also decided to cutback her hours as a neonatal nurse.
Hood will also retire sooner than planned now.
Another Lotto MAX Maxmillions ticket worth $500, 000 was sold in Grand Falls for the June 8th draw, but it has not been claimed yet.
