Sentencing Scheduled Today For Marissa Shephard

Victim impact statements are expected to be heard today in a Moncton courtroom, during sentencing for convicted killer Marissa Shephard.

She was found guilty in May of first degree murder and arson in the death of 18 year old Baylee Wylie.

Wylie was found brutally murdered and burned in a fire in a Sumac Street home in December 2015.

First-degree murder carries an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for at least 25 years.

Victim impact statements are expected to be heard during today’s sentencing.
