UNI Gets Naming Rights To New Dieppe Community Complex

The UNI Financial Cooperation has received the naming rights for Dieppe’s new intergenerational community complex with a $1 million contribution to the $4.5 million fundraising campaign.

UNI CEO Robert Moreau says the credit union wanted to be a part of this project because it not only benefits Dieppe but the entire region.

“At the end of the day we are very much community focused and I think this is an accelerator. Our contribution is going to accelerate this community to develop even further,” he says.

Moreau adds their contribution is proportionate to the amount of business the financial institution does in the region.

In addition to fundraising, the $29 million complex is being funding by all three levels of government.

It will include two ice rinks, an indoor walking track, community rooms, a kitchen and a greenhouse.

Construction of the centre is expected to start this fall with a scheduled opening in the spring of 2020.
