Codiac RCMP is asking any witnesses to a disturbance at the Carnival in the Fairlane Plaza overnight to come forward.
Corporal John White says officers were called around 10:30, and on arrival spoke to a witness.
One person is in custody, and several people were injured – although at this time the RCMP would not share details of the type of injuries or the type of weapon involved.
Cpl. White said that is to allow them to filter credible witnesses from those who come forward.
Investigators are following up today, searching for anyone else who may have been involved, and for witnesses who may be able to help.
