Moncton Firefighters were called to a minihome on Southpine Avenue shortly before 1 this morning.
Acting Platoon Chief Charlie Melanson says flames were already shooting through the roof when the two engines, two tankers, and the rescue truck arrived.
“There was a lady that was home, she was home and her dog woke her up, and that’s how she found out about the fire, and she got out of the house right away,” says Melanson.

Melanson says no one was injured, but the damage to the mini home is quite extensive, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the blaze.
