Unique Bike Tours Being Held Along Petitcodiac River

Both visitors and residents alike will have a unique opportunity to learn more about the Petitcodiac River this summer.

The Town of Riverview is a partner in Ride The Tide Bike Tours which will be held on Wednesdays and Fridays during July and August.

Spokesperson Meghan Cross says the tour will include stops and stories about the river including its culture and ecology as you bike alongside it.

“We know that Riverview is a place that people live in and visit and feel close to nature. It’s a natural step for us to welcome visitors to our area by offering a unique product that celebrates something that is so important to this region and that is the Petitcodiac River,” she says.

Cross says they are also seeking residents with some extra time this summer to become storytellers if they have expertise about the river including its history.

Storytellers will be given a $100 honorarium if they commit to doing three tours.

Ride The Tide Bike Tours have an admission fee and include a bike rental along with lunch and a souvenir.
