Work is getting underway this week to reconfigure a section of Mountain Road.
Mountain Road, between Woodhaven Court and Front Mountain Road, will be converted from four lanes to three lanes.
The new layout will add bike lanes in each direction and feature a centre lane for left turning traffic along with two lanes in each direction.
Resurfacing of that section of Mountain Road is also underway and will continue until mid-June.
Drivers should expect delays during construction.
City of Moncton officials say the lane reduction will help lower speeds and collisions.
