Flooding Expected In Areas Of NB: EMO

With heavy rain and snow melting in the north, River Watch is warning that flooding is expected in the next 48 hours in Fredericton, Maugerville and Jemseg.

Geoffrey Downey of the provincial Emergency Measures Organization says that Lakefield Corner and Sheffield are forecasted to be in the flood warning stage and Saint John-Quispamsis in the watch stage.

“Flood level for Quispamsis-Saint John is 4.2,” says Downey, “and the forecast for Saturday is 3.4.”

Downey says if people want to report any issues related to rising water you’re encouraged to call 1-800-561-4034.
