The federal government is supporting joint American, U.K., and French airstrikes on a Syrian military base.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is out with a statement about the recent bombing, which is in response to last week’s alleged chemical weapons attack by the Syrian regime.
Multiple media reports say around 80 people died in last Saturday’s suspected attack just outside Damascus.
Trudeau says Canada condemns the use of chemical weapons and stands with the decision from the United States, United Kingdom, and France to target sites associated with chemical weapons.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced he’d ordered the airstrikes last night. (File Photo)
