Another day, another joint federal/provincial announcement in the region.
While in Sussex, Premier Brian Gallant joined Fundy Royal MP Alaina Lockhart to announce details of the $45 million dollars Fundy Trail connector project.
Gallant says the project will form a connection to the eastern end of the Fundy Trail Parkway linking tourism attractions through the Alma region like Cape Enrage, Hopefull Rocks, and Fundy National Park
“We are pleased to announce that construction is underway on the Fundy Trail connector infrastructure project with the first section on schedule to open in 2019” Gallant says.

The province employs more than 30,000 in the tourism industry and visitor spending is estimated at 1.3 billion dollars.
The federal government’s share for this project is $13 million while the province is kicking in over $15 million this year.
