Former Organigram CEO Resigns From Board Of Governors

The Moncton man who spent three years leading local marjuana producer Organigram has resigned from their board of governors.

In a prepared statement, the company said Denis Arsenault was a driving force behind the development and growth of Organigram and thanked him for his service.

Arsenault expressed his pride in what they accomplished under his leadership, noting full time employment numbers are expected to top 270 by the end 2018.

Arsenault was replaced by current CEO Greg Engel a little over one year ago in the wake of a scandal involving low levels of pesticides found in some of their medical marijuana.

Organigram currently produces 22,000 kilograms of cannabis per year, and are planning expansions to boost production to 100,000 kilograms annually within two years.
