Another winter storm is heading our way. It’s the fourth in a month.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Andy Firth says it isn’t expected to hit with a major punch,”We’re looking at 15 to 20 centimetres which is not a large system by any stretch of the imagination. It will be significant for people commuting home this evening. it will make the drive home a little slower, that’s for sure. Winds are expected to gust up to 60 kilometres per hour.”
It’s a PD day for Anglophone East schools, so students had the day off anyway, But the storm has closed all schools in Francophone South with the exception of Fredericton and Oromocto.
In Anglophone North all schools in open, with the exception of Rexton.
Firth says the snow will taper off to flurries at around midnight.
