RCMP Still Investigating Suspicious Death Of N.B. Man

The New Brunswick RCMP’s Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the suspicious death of a 42-year-old man from western New Brunswick.

Tony Vaillancourt of Morrell Siding was reported missing on May 6, 2017, after not being in contact with family or friends for nearly a month.

His body was found in the Saint John River near Tobique Narrows about three months later, on Aug. 2.

Police say an autopsy and further investigation determined his death was suspicious.

Anyone with information about his death is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
