Dr. Temple Grandin Coming To Moncton

An autism advocate will speak at the Maritime Beef Conference in Moncton next month.

Dr. Temple Grandin is known for her distinctive cowboy garb as she is for her many bestselling books like Making Animals Happy and Different…Not Less.

She holds a PhD in animal science from the University of Illinois and teaches at Colorado State University.

Many will remember the film made about her in 2010 starring Clare Danes.

Grandin will speak about her own experience with autism and present two sessions, where she focuses on humane and effective livestock handling.

Her ground-breaking achievements in livestock handling and facility design have been attributed to her unique, visual way of processing information.

Grandin is also an accomplished author of books such as The Way I See It and Thinking In Pictures.

The Maritime Beef Conference takes place on March 16 and 17.
