Costume shops have been busy over the past few weeks in advance of Halloween, that includes Lloyd’s of Moncton.
Manager Tish Graham says they get a lot of requests from the around 3000 costumes they carry for rent, “So the bulk of them were rented for last weekend for parties that were happening at homes or downtown. Also, we have had an influx coming in today and yesterday for people looking for costumes, so they can dress up to pass out treats.”
Graham says many adults choose to go in costumes from different eras, “Year after year, people want to go as couples from the roaring twenties, as gangsters and flappers. Or they also ask for costumes from the 80’s and 90’s.”
As for children, Graham says they’ve had a lot of requests for Fortnite costumes this year.
“We’ve had lots of questions about costumes for the popular video game, and whether we have them. That is something we don’t have, but we have helped to accessorize.”
