Magnetic Hill Zoo’s Tiger Cubs Heading To Ontario

The three Amur tiger cubs at the Magnetic Hill Zoo are heading to an accredited zoo in Ontario sometime in November.

Zoo director Jill Marvin says she has visited their new exhibit and feels assured the cubs are heading to a good home.

“We usually don’t want anybody to interfere during a transfer. We wouldn’t necessarily announce the day they were going so that my staff can concentrate and get them safely into the crate,” she notes.

An endangered species in the wild, Marvin says the new Ontario home for the Amur tiger cubs also focuses on conservation and education.

Will there be any future tiger cubs from parents Alik and Anya?

Marvin adds it’s hard to say if that will happen and it’s all up to nature.
