A 13-year old boy from Lamèque has died following an all terrain vehicle crash on Saturday.
Around 3:45 in the afternoon, members of the Lamèque detachment determined the driver and sole occupant on the ATV had lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a gravel pit.
The boy was transported to hospital in Tracadie, then to the Moncton Hospital.
He died as a result of his injuries Sunday.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
