Fuel prices are expected to rise slightly this week but a senior petroleum analyst doesn’t think the explosion on Monday at the Irving Oil refinery is to blame – at least not yet anyway.
Dan McTeague with Gasbuddy.com says he doesn’t see an impact on prices or supply.
Nevertheless, he predicts gasoline could go up by about 1 cent per litre at midnight and diesel may rise 1.5 cents per litre this week when the provincial regulator adjusts prices.
