It’s Food Box Delivery Day!

Packing of boxes has been going on for days, and today is delivery day. 1800 food boxes will be taken to those in need, to feed their families over the Christmas break.

The Moncton Coliseum will be a busy place, that’s where volunteers line up in their vehicles to pick up the boxes and make the deliveries.

Executive Director for the Food Depot Alimentaire Chantal Senecal says if you have time to spare today to make a delivery, you’re welcome to come out and help, “You can start lining up at around 11:30 and the doors open at noon. There are volunteers outside who are directing traffic and they will guide you on where to go. We deliver to the Moncton and Dieppe area. We go just up towards the 126, but we try to stay within the city limits.”

If you’re looking to make a last minute monetary donation for the 30 Days of Caring campaign, they will also be happily accepted.

As of 5pm last night, they had enough money to cover 1500 of the 1800 hundred boxes being filled this year.
