Extreme Cold To Hit Metro Moncton

Bundle up! It’s going to get even colder.

We are under an extreme cold warning for Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick.

The cold air is expected to move across the province tonight and into tomorrow.

Environment Canada is forecasting temperatures to dip below minus 20 by tomorrow, with cold winds, and windchill values of below minus 35 for early tomorrow.

This puts those who aren’t dressed appropriately at risk of frost bite or hypothermia, that includes homeless people, and outside workers.

Infants and seniors are also at an increased risk.

Always dress in layers, and wear clothing that is appropriate for the weather, and cover any exposed skin.
