New Brunswick Senator Stepping Down

Independent New Brunswick Senator John Wallace is stepping down early next year after he serves 8 years.

Wallace says he made a pledge to then Prime Minister Stephen Harper when he was appointed to serve 8 years.

Wallace resigned from the Conservative caucus to sit as an independent. He spoke out against the treatment that was accorded his colleague, Senator Mike Duffy.
