Premiers And Prime Minister To Meet On Climate Change

The Premiers gather in Ottawa tomorrow to talk about a climate change plan with Prime Minister Trudeau.

The province’s climate action plan includes carbon pricing but the specifics have not been divulged.

The Conservative M-L-A for Albert, Brian Kierstead is worried about whether a carbon tax will hamper economic growth especially in light of President-elect Donald Trump’s decision not to impose one.

The M-L-A for Kings Centre Bill Oliver says carbon pricing is just another tax fior New Brunswick families still reeling from the H-S-T hike in July and the tax on gas rising.

Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall has said he hasn’t ruled out taking Ottawa to the Supreme Court in his fight against a carbon tax.

The Premiers also want to talk about healthcare funding which isn’t on the agenda.
