Nearly 15,000 people don’t have power in the Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe region after the season’s first big blast of snow and high wind hit parts of New Brunswick.
Province-wide NB Power is dealing with more than 41,000 outages.

The Fredericton area is the hardest hit with over 21,000 people in the dark.
Meantime, a number of schools won’t have classes today in the Moncton area.

All schools the Moncton-Dieppe-Shédiac and Bouctouche are closed.
Francophone South:
All schools in the Richibouctou – Saint-Louis-Baie Sainte-Anne- Rogersville and Miramichi are closed.
U de M closed until 1pm
Anglophone North schools closed in Rexton and Miramichi
