More than half of drivers and cyclists who have to share the road in the nice weather find eachother annoying according to a survey by State Farm Insurance.
John Bordignon of State Farm says Stats Canada reports nearly 75 hundred cyclists are seriously injured each year. 31 per cent of the survey respondents who cycle on busy streets in New Brunswick say they have personally been involved in an accident while riding or know someone who has.
55 per cent of drivers find those people riding bicycles on the road to be annoying and one reason, according to Bordignon, could be designated bike lanes which makes their comuting time longer.
State Farm also discovered 36 per cent of cyclists who say they ride on busy streets and more than half of teens admit to texting while cycling.
