Citizens Of Charlotte County Group Say CCH Could Be The Solution To Overcrowding In Hospitals

The Concerned Citizens of Charlotte County are raising awareness on the overcrowding in hospitals, and how Charlotte County Hospital could be the solution.

Co-Chair John Gardner says the day before the announcement was made to close the operating room at the Charlotte County Hospital in St. Stephen , doctors from Moncton and Campbellton were raising concern on overcrowding in their hospitals.

Gardner tells us, “We could be part of the solution because we’ve got the facility, we’ve got the infrastructure, the money has already been spent. We can be saving the province money because we can reduce wait times, if they use what they have and use it efficiently.”

Gardner says the provincial government has been talking about finding efficiencies, and by closing the operating room in St. Stephen, they are not using what they already have.

He claims this is where the government and Horizon Health have fallen.
