Canada Post is advising customers to mail letters and parcels as a soon as possible to ensure they arrive at their destinations before a possible work stoppage on July 2.
The post office and the union have been trying to negotiate a new collective agreement since contracts expired late last year.
Moncton local CUPW president Linda Campbell says members in this province are expected to learn more about the negotiations next week.
Campbell says two national union directors will be coming to New Brunswick to give local members more information.
Campbell believes Canada Post has been bargaining in bad faith.
Some of the key issues have been benefits, pensions and a two-tier pay scale system which the union is opposing.
