Order Of Moncton Nominations Being Sought

Nineteen Monctonians have been honoured with the Order of Moncton since 2010.

Nominations are once again being sought for the highest honour in Moncton.

City Clerk Barbara Quigley says any resident who has made major contributions is being sought.

Quigley says this is a unique award with Moncton being one of the few cities in the country to honour its residents this way.

Wes Armour, Bill Whalen, Marshall Button and Claudette Bradshaw are just a few of the people who have been previously honoured.

Nominations and at least two letters of support must be submitted by September 12 with forms available at Moncton City Hall or on the city’s website HERE.

A selection committee, comprised of councillors, residents and city staff will make a decision by October 21.
