Senate Makes Major Change To Medically Assisted Dying Bill

The bill on medically assisted dying has made it through the Senate but with a major change that might not be acceptable to the Trudeau Government.

Senators voted to make the option open to more people and not just to those whose natural death is reasonably foreseeable because they see that as more in line with what the Supreme Court decreed.

Earlier this week, Federal Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould indicated accepting such a change was unlikely.
