The provincial government is building a new middle school in Dieppe.
The school for Grades 3 to 8 on Dieppe Boulevard will relieve overcrowding at three existing schools: Amirault, Carrefour de l’Acadie and Mathieu-Martin.
Premier Brian Gallant says the $34.7 million investment is important for the fast-growing city.
“We believe we have to invest in our infrastructure not only because it will help improve the quality of life – as a school certainly does – but it also means creating some jobs,” says Gallant.
The new school will accommodate more than 1,000 students and should be ready for the 2018-19 academic year.
