Codiac RCMP surrounded an area in the front of NBCC on Mountain Road in Moncton this morning.
Sergeant Andre Pepin says at around 8:20am, they received reports of a suspicious person possibly carrying a handgun.
Officers searched the school and the surrounding area but nothing was found to substantiate the complaint .
All members have now cleared the scene and they are not looking for a suspect.
The school was under lockdown for around an hour, but students and staff are now free to come and go.
