Despite the loss of 57 hundred jobs in the province last month, 4 thousand of them fulltime, Brian Gallant is optimistic — that was the message during the Premier’s Chamber of Commerce Tour stop in St. Stephen.
Gallant says in terms of creating jobs, there are definitely challenges. “These challenges have been here in New Brunswick for quite some time. And we’re going to work incredibly hard, making sure that we do whatever we can to give New Brunswickers work. They want to work, they want jobs, and we know that.”
The Premier will be making a jobs announcement this morning in Sussex Corner.
Gallant also referred to the federal budget being released on March 22nd, saying he believes we will see additional investments in infrastructure, and focus on innovation, which will benefit New Brunswick immensely.
His main priority is to keep young people in New Brunswick, train and educate them, and help them find jobs locally.
