Peter MacDonald tells us Saturday clinics are important because they are only open on the weekend in Saint John, Moncton and Halifax.
He says when you give blood, they draw plasma, platelets and red cells and platelets have a short shelf life of only 5 days.
In Saint John, you can donate blood from 9am to Noon every Saturday at 400 University Avenue.
In Moncton, you can donate blood from 9am to Noon every Saturday at 500 Mapleton Road.
In Halifax, you can donate blood from 9am to Noon every Saturday at 7071 Bayers Road.
