Significant Job Loss In New Brunswick

The Trudeau Government’s first budget comes when the economy is plodding along with job losses.

There has been a significant increase in New Brunswick’s unemployment rate from 9.3 to 9.9 per cent after 57 hundred jobs were lost, 4 thousand of them were fulltime.

In Saint John, the unemployment rate remained the same at 8.3 per cent while Moncton recorded an increase from 6.2 to 6.6 per cent.

The national jobless rate increased to 7.3 per cent with the loss of 23 hundred jobs.
