Drink Spiking Sends Three Fredericton Students To The Emergency Room

UNB and St. Thomas University in Fredericton are warning students to be careful of drink spiking.

Recently, three students have ended up in the emergency room because their drink was spiked, which is when alcohol or drugs are added to someone’s drink without their knowledge or consent.

The drink spiking is believed to have occured at a bar on campus.

The two schools sent an email to their students with a variety of tips.

The tips include not leaving your drink unattended, always letting at least one friend know where you’re going, being suspicious if someone you don’t know offers you a free drink and to not drink something that tastes or smells strange
