Harvest House Planning To Open A Women’s Addiction Recovery Centre

Harvest House is looking to expand its programs in another location, by adding a women’s addiction recovery centre.

Executive Director and Founder Cal Maskery says they currently have a nine month recovery program, but it is only offered to men

He says, “The needs are there for a new program, so that when women come to us, we don’t have to refer them out. When programs are full now, there’s no help. That’s really hard to not help a women when they need the help.”

He says they are currently looking for a property for the centre.

Maskery says many of the women who are recovered addicts are pitching in and want to help where they can. He says, “They’ve been there, and the support is pouring in to help open up a new women’s recovery program, so we’re really delighted to be able to do that right here in Moncton.”

Harvest House offers a shelter and recovery programs for those in need.
