UPDATE: Foul Play Not Ruled Out In Churchill Street Fire

Arson has not been ruled out yet, after a fire in a Churchill Street home.

Fire Investigator Steve Richardson says they were at the scene for about eith and a half hours yesterday.

He says, “There is the possibility of a criminal element to it, and it is still actively being investigated, but we have completed our work at the scene.”

Richardson says they will now work with the Codiac RCMP to officially determine the cause, but he expects it will be a few weeks before they have all of the results back.

The home was extensively damaged early yesterday morning, after a fire broke out at around 1am in the two storey home.

One man was left homeless.
