On February 20th, over 100 communities across the country will walk to raise money for youth who are hungry, homeless and hurting.
It’s all part of the Coldest Night of the Year event.
In Moncton, the organization Youth Impact benefits..
Associate Director Cathy Manuel says they’ve increased their financial goal this year. Last year they raised $32, 000 and this year they hope to raise $40,000.
Manuel says over the past ten years they have helped a lot of youth. Many have started done their GED’s, and graduate, and then go on to community college or University.
She says it’s wonderful to know they’ve helped so many youth move away from the streets.
