A shocking turn of events at Matthew Tucker’s sentencing hearing in Saint John.
He was charged with second degree murder in November 2014 following the disappearance and death of his mother Dorothy.
Mr. Justice Darrell Stephenson vacating Tucker’s guilty plea in his mother’s death in Oak Haven, near St. Stephen.
A jury trial has been ordered and Tucker will remain in custody.
53 year old Tucker was reported missing on November 10th 2014 and her body was found 10 days later by two hunters in St. David Ridge.
Family members gasped in court and one crying woman kept saying “oh my god” at the turn of events in court today.
Mr. Justice Stephenson at the request of the Crown ordering all media present in the courtroom to remove all tweets pertaining to the statement of facts in the case.
This move is to prevent influencing a potential jury pool in this case.
