Potash Corp announcing more details on the 5 million dollar Community Transition Fund in the aftermath of the closure of the Picadilly mine.
Up to $1 million to support local charitable and community organizations.
Up to $1 million to help transition local businesses that have been most impacted by the suspension of potash operations and up to $3 million for training and education programs for the Sussex employees and their families adversely affected by the closure.
This means up to $7,500 per employee or immediate family members will be made available for education or training from an accredited New Brunswick institution.
