War Amps Key Tags Celebrate 70 Years

The War Amps Key Tag Service is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2016.

It’s a free service and more than 1.5 million sets of lost keys have been returned to their owners.

War Amps spokesperson James Jordan says the service was started by veterans who lost limbs during the First and Second World Wars.

“Being servicemen, they wanted to give a service back to Canadians and at the same time provide funding for their own organization and cause,” he notes.

If someone finds your lost keys with a War Amps Key Tag, Jordan says all they have to do is call a toll-free number on the tag or simply drop them in any mailbox in Canada.
