Five fishermen are safe and sound after the Canadian Coast Guard rescued them from a sinking vessel early Sunday morning.
Joint Task Force Atlantic confirms on Twitter a distress call was received by the Rescue Coordination Centre in Halifax.
The vessel went into distress about 16 nautical miles northwest of Yarmouth late Saturday night.
A Cormorant helicopter and a Hercules aircraft were dispatched from Greenwood.
The five crew abandoned their fishing vessel and were transported safely to shore.
