Storm Expected To Wrap Up In Moncton By Midnight

The weather warning continues in the Moncton region.

As we get hammered with ice pellets, other parts of the province are getting snow, freezing rain or rain.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Claude Cote doesn’t expect the ice pellets will let up until mid afternoon…and then the snow will begin to fall, “As the low pressure system responsible for this weather moves away from the province, then the cold air will bring a precipitation change to periods of snow. So we’re looking at total snowfall accumulation of 10 to 15 centimetres.”

The snow is expected to stop by midnight tonight.

Most of students across the province had the day off today due to bad weather conditions. Motorists are still advised to travel only if necessary.

If you do have to go out, slow down and give yourself lots of extra time to get where you need to go.
